SHAH ALAM: As part of a recognition towards Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd as a valued fleet customer since 1998, UMW Toyota Motor presented one unit of Hiace panel van to commemorate the 501 units fleet purchased by Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd.

The handing over of key was done by Mr. Takashi Hibi, Deputy Chairman, UMW Toyota Motor to Mr. Darmendran Kunaretnam, Group CEO, Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd at a function held at UMW Toyota Motor headquarters in Shah Alam.

Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd had purchased the first 6 units of Hiace panel vans from UMW Toyota Motor in 1998 and the numbers kept on growing every year until it reached 500 units in December 2007. According to Mr. Harry Loo Chee Yan, Divisional Director, New Vehicle Sales Group, UMW Toyota Motor said, “As you know, for a leading and reputable cash management and security company which Safeguards Corporation is known for, the demand of their day-to-day business operations depend highly on reliable and durable vehicles”.

As part of the company’s commitment to serve customers better, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd will continue to support Safeguards Corporation Sdn Bhd as a valued fleet customer and provide all their needs which includes the dedicated after-sales service, early vehicle allocation and technical training.  He also added, “We are grateful for your feedback and input over the years on our product, which led to us improving our Toyota Hiace, to serve not only your company’s needs, but also subsequently, the needs of your clients and the general public”.
